Born in the Indigenous resguardo of Cuaspud, Nariño, Colombia, Hajsú is an act of cultural resistance and a living tribute to the millennia-old textile tradition of the Pasto people. Each garment is created using the ancestral technique of Guanga (a traditional vertical loom), employing natural fibers such as sheep wool and cotton to produce textiles that are true works of textile art. At Chisakuï, we wholeheartedly chose Hajsú because the work that the founding designer develops with local artisans is something rare and precious. Her creative vision successfully combines silhouettes, colors, and textures characteristic of the Andean territory into contemporary, versatile, elegant, and timeless garments; Hajsú transmits wisdom, identity, and timeless beauty.
