The mochila is handmade by women of the Ette Ennaka people, guardians of ancient traditions on Colombia's Caribbean Coast, where the sea meets the Andes mountains.

This 100% cotton bag is crocheted according to ancestral knowledge passed down from generation to generation, from grandmothers to daughters, with patience and skill.

Each piece originates from an important starting point: the weaving begins with a pom-pom shaped "navel." This detail represents the center of the female body, the genesis of the world and thought, fertility, and the beginning of life. From there, the artisan constructs the mochila following circular paths, creating a rigid and resistant, yet delicate and sophisticated structure at the same time.
