A hand-woven shoulder bag by the indigenous Kamëntsá people, directly from the Colombian Amazon. Decorated with the jaguar pattern, a symbolic and sacred animal of Latin America. A piece that combines textile tradition, cultural identity, and authentic craftsmanship.

A hand-woven tradition

This mochila is born from the hands of the weavers of the Kamëntsá people, an indigenous community in the Putumayo department, Colombia. The weaving of mochilas is part of a tradition passed down through generations, where every thread and bead tells a story of identity, belonging, and cultural memory.

The design adorning this mochila depicts the jaguar, one of the most symbolic animals of Latin America: in the worldview of many indigenous peoples, it represents strength, spiritual power, and connection with nature on Earth. The pattern, entirely hand-woven, transforms this ancestral symbol into a contemporary graphic motif, perfect for everyday wear.

How to use it

Practical and versatile, this shoulder bag is designed for daily use or a special evening: carry your essentials—wallet, phone, keys, lipstick—with a style that tells a story. An accessory that complements both casual and more sophisticated looks, adding a touch of authenticity and character to any outfit.

CURE

Glass beads are small decorative elements made from molten glass, available in an infinite variety of shapes, colors, and finishes. Used for making necklaces, bracelets, and other accessories, glass beads are materially robust but require attention to the care of the stringing material—often silk, nylon, or cotton—which represents the most vulnerable point of the accessory. Chemicals found in cosmetics and perfumes are the main enemies of glass's luster.

Care and maintenance of glass beads

Cleaning

Slightly damp soft cloth. For deep cleaning: lukewarm water with a drop of neutral detergent, rinse, and dry thoroughly.

Drying

Carefully dry the junctions: stagnant water weakens the string over time, especially if made of silk or cotton.

Storage

Store separately to avoid scratching between beads. Glass surfaces can chip if bumped.

Treatment

Avoid perfumes, hairspray, and creams: chemicals can dull the beads and deteriorate the string.

Inspection

Periodically check the integrity of the string, especially at the knots. At the first sign of weakness, have it re-knotted.

⚠️ Attention: Wear the accessory only after applying perfumes and cosmetics, not before. Chemical residues accumulate on the beads and reduce their luster over time.
