Tinker Bell Earrings

These handcrafted vegetable fiber earrings are a tribute to the natural elegance and skill of the Inga women, indigenous artisans from Putumayo, Colombia. Entirely handmade, each piece is born from a network of thin and delicate knots, building a three-dimensional conical structure, similar to a bell or a hut: symbols of protection, welcome, and harmony.

Carefully woven using local vegetable fibers, these earrings are embellished with multicolored glass beads, which add joy, light, and vibrancy to a light and sophisticated accessory. Each color chosen is inspired by the lush nature of the Inga territory – forests, rivers, flowers, and sunsets – gracefully and intuitively translated by the expert hands of the artisans.

Perfect for those who love to carry a piece of living culture with them, these earrings are ideal for everyday wear, thanks to their original yet discreet style and their extreme lightness.

CURE

Glass beads are small decorative elements made from molten glass, available in countless shapes, colors, and finishes. Used for making necklaces, bracelets, and other accessories, glass beads are physically robust, but require attention to the care of the stringing material—often silk, nylon, or cotton—which is the most vulnerable point of the accessory. Chemicals found in cosmetics and perfumes are the main enemies of glass's shine.

Care and Maintenance of Glass Beads

Cleaning

Soft, slightly damp cloth. For deep cleaning: lukewarm water with a drop of neutral detergent, rinse and dry thoroughly.

Drying

Carefully dry the junctions: standing water weakens the thread over time, especially if made of silk or cotton.

Storage

Store separately to avoid scratching between beads. Glass surfaces can chip if knocked.

Treatment

Avoid perfumes, hairsprays, and creams: chemicals dull the beads and deteriorate the thread.

Inspection

Periodically check the integrity of the thread, especially at the knots. At the first sign of weakness, have it restrung.

⚠️ Warning:Wear the accessory only after applying perfumes and cosmetics, not before. Chemical residues accumulate on the beads and reduce their luster over time.

Additional Guidelines

Silk Thread:If the thread is silk (as in Seta accessories), avoid any contact with water: wet silk weakens and deforms easily.

Bathing and Sports:Always remove accessories before swimming, playing sports, or entering a sauna.

Restringing:A thread in good condition is essential for the safety of the accessory. Have the knots checked every 12–18 months by a craftsman.
