Carry the light of the Amazonian sun with DESTELLO, unique handmade earrings, crafted by Inga artisans from Putumayo, in the heart of the Colombian Amazon.

A design inspired by light:

The shape evokes a radiant half-sun: a luminous center from which cascades of beads radiate, flowing downwards in a fluid movement, creating a dynamic and sophisticated visual effect. The vibrant and multi-colored combinations capture the light and reflect it with energy, making each pair a unique and unrepeatable piece.

Lightness and wearability:

With a length of 11 cm and a width of 3.5 cm, these earrings are slender and spectacular yet surprisingly light to wear. The hypoallergenic hooks ensure maximum comfort even for the most sensitive skin, allowing them to be worn all day without compromise.

Ancestral Inga craftsmanship:

Each earring is hand-woven with finely crafted beads, following traditional techniques passed down by the indigenous Inga communities. It is not just an accessory: it is a cultural object, carrying identity, ancestral knowledge, and female creativity.

Glass Beads

Glass beads are small decorative elements made from molten glass, available in endless shapes, colors, and finishes. Used for making necklaces, bracelets, and other accessories, glass beads are physically robust but require attention to the mounting thread — often silk, nylon, or cotton — which is the most vulnerable point of the accessory. Chemicals found in cosmetics and perfumes are the main enemies of glass's luster.

Care and Maintenance of Glass Beads

Cleaning

Soft, slightly damp cloth. For deep cleaning: lukewarm water with a drop of neutral detergent, rinse, and dry thoroughly.

Drying

Carefully dry the junctions: stagnant water weakens the thread over time, especially if it's silk or cotton.

Storage

Store separately to avoid scratching between beads. Glass surfaces can chip if struck.

Treatment

Avoid perfumes, hairsprays, and creams: chemicals dull the beads and deteriorate the thread.

Inspection

Periodically check the integrity of the thread, especially at the knots. At the first sign of weakness, have it re-knotted.

⚠️ Warning: Wear the accessory only after applying perfumes and cosmetics, not before. Chemical residues accumulate on the beads and reduce their luster over time.

Additional Information

Silk Thread: If the thread is silk (as in Silk accessories), avoid any contact with water: wet silk weakens and deforms easily.

Bathing and Sports: Always remove accessories before swimming, playing sports, or entering a sauna.
